I’ve mentioned before that as well as our Church ceremony and reception in April, we’ll be travelling to Texas a few weeks later to share a celebration with those members of the Mister’s family who are unable to make it to the UK for the big shindig. This, factored with the Mister’s school schedule, means we’ll have around 6 weeks at home after the wedding. So when we do jet off for our second-celebration-come-honeymoon, we’d like to try and find a Honeymoon spot within reasonable flying time of Texas.
However, although a “great west coast road trip” is on our list of future holidays, we didn’t think it felt or sounded “honeymoony” enough… and the Mister resolutely doesn’t want to spend our honeymoon in the Continental US anyway. Mexico is also out – simply because we’ve been before; our first proper holiday together was a week in Cancun back in 2008. In my mind, this leaves us with two options:
